How Do I ... Change the Premvet Terminal Settings

Each terminal that can be used with Premvet has some settings associated with it:

  • What is the default document printer
  • What label and POS printer do I use
  • Am I at Branch 1,2,3 etc.
  • Do I default to the Tree View (tombstone)
  • Am I using a Windows PC to allow access to Windows Apps?
  • Where am I

    • You can change and customise all these settings from the menu option:

    General Apps -> Parameters -> Hardware -> Device Settings {Classic}
    System Management -> Setup -> Parameters -> Hardware -> Device Settings {New Style}

    Use the option: Add/Modify a definition for a terminal other than the one you are on otherwise use Modify THIS terminal.

    You will be asked the terminal device - enter either the port number (tty123) or the IP Name. (Use a ? at the main menu and look at the 'Device:' entry - That is the device to enter here).

    The screen will breakdown the current setting e.g.:

Select option to change <1-13> or <Q>uit [Q] ..

    Select as required, the setting will take effect the next time that device is logged in.
