Printing Documentation from AP Codes

You can generate letters, labels, handouts etc. from within AP items. For example, labels for blood containners or leads, handout regarding spays/castrates etc.

  1. Setup a definition file using one of the text editors, include any reserved words you require. For example an address label:
    .PR 2
    .PL 15

    Veterinary Solutions
    2/3 Dublin Mews
    Edinburgh
    Lothian, EH3 6NW

Make a note of the name of the definition file e.g. vsollab.def

  2. Setup an AP card as follows:

    Description Whatever
    Extras ^11=filename.def
    e.g. ^11=vsollab.def

Now whenever this item is used the letter 'filename.def' will be printed automatically. In our example the address label will be produced.
