How do I change the colour of xxxx?
You can alter the colours used to display clinical text and the colour used for menus etc. These can be for a specific user or for the system as a whole.

To start with setup colours for yourself, if you are happy with them you can make them systemwide.
Setting a personal scheme
- On a screen that support colour - Note: Wyse Teminals DO NOT support colour.
- Main Menu -> = -> User Info -> Colours
- Select one of the preset schemes (Tip: Try them all - just use above step to alter if you don't like them).
- This has now set the 'basics', you will have another menu to allow you to fine tune them (this is optional).
- Use the Description and Events
- Use the list of events in the manual, select the event and then select the colour.
- If you are wanting to change the colour of clinical work - this is done via analysis code - for example to change the colour of Payment lines and clinical text.
- Pick two un-used events e.g. 15 and 20
- For 15 enter the text 'Payments' and pick a colour
For 20 enter the text 'Notes' and pick a colour. - These events have now to be associated with the analysis code
Menu -> Auto Pricing -> Utils -> Analysis -> Edit
Analysis code 255 is payments - select it and enter 15 as the event
Clinical Notes are usually 200 - select it and enter 20 as the event. - Now the system will display payments and clinical text in different colours.
- Set any of the events to suit.
Once you are happy with the personal events you can make them system wide.
Setting a Systemwide scheme
There are two ways of doing this:
- Via the menus
- Use System -> Setup -> Parameters -> Hardware -> Events
- Use 'Description and Events' and enter the same settings.
- Copy a personal setup
This method will remove the possibility of a typo being made- When in 'personal events' the screen will show the Filename, this will be username.cxx, where xx is the terminal type e.g. tom.c3, make a note of the name shown and the xx e.g. in this case 3.
- Press F6 to get to a Vet> prompt
- Type cp miscdir/tom.c3 colour.3 (Replace 3 with terminal no. with xx from above)
- Type exit or press Ctrl d to get back to the menu
- Now when users login on terminal type '3' they will have the same colours.
Personal events will take priority over system ones, so users can 'fine tune' the system settings as per the 1st section of this guide.
