Some of our users are just closing their Anita windows and cross up-dating is locked.
Some Windows emulators allow users to exit by clicking the cross in the top right hand corner or using File -> Exit. This is bad practice as the host does not realise the user has exited and can leave records locked and resources in use.
With Anita (www.april.se) you can disable this option.
You should (on all PC's):
- Click Config
- Click Lock settings
- Click Disconect from PC and then OK
- Use File -> Save to save the settings
This will lock out that option and the users will have to exit the application correctly.
If your users know there way around the PC they could un-click the above option, in this case use the 'Lock Admin Password' option to password protect the lock option.
Note: As of version 2.20 (July 2006), the system will automatically
remove the Close and Minimise buttons for you. If however, it causes
problems for switching screens you can add to your 'startup file' (this
is .profile in your home directory) the entry:
AnitaX=No ; export AnitaXThis will disable the removing of the buttons.
