How Do I .... Change the colour of clinical lines

To make it easier to see 'important' points on the clinical screen you can change the colour of the lines. This is based on analysis codes. You cannot change the colour of the whole screen; just the specific line(s).

As an example, let change the colours of:

Payment Lines, Vaccinations, Credit control and Diets

Payments will always be analysis code 255, the other three the codes are practice specific - check your machine before continuing. We will use 40-45 for vaccinations, 170 and 171 for Credit control and 239 for Diets.

Step 1 - Set some colours

Menu - System - Setup - Parameters - Hardware - Events

Select the 1st option 'Description and Events', now we need to set some colours - the event numbers are not fixed, use whichever ones you want (you have 150 of them).

Event 1 - Will be payment type lines, give it a name e.g. Paid lines and set the colour e.g. Red on Black

Event 2 - Call it Vaccinations, give it a colour. Repeat for credit control, diets and whatever other ones you want to setup.

Here is a sample:

Step 2 - Associate the colours with analysis codes.

Menu - Fees and Stock - Utilities - Analysis Codes - Edit

Enter payment code - 255 - Return on the existing name, and at the 'Event for this code' - enter the code from step 1 e.g. 1 then just press return at Loyalty points.

Repeat for the other lines, e.g. for credit control example above, enter 170 - colour event 3, 171 colour event 3. Vaccinations: select analysis codes 40 (then 41, 42, 43, 44 and 45) set colour to event 2 etc.

Quit back, now when the clinical screen is displayed the lines will be coloured for easy identification.
