Laboratory PDF Forms
Some Laboratory (VLA in particular) have submission forms in 'pdf' (Portable Document Format). These can be printed directly from Premvet - see the Printing PDF Forms via AP for more details.
Where do you get the forms?
The obvious place is the supplier Web site, however, we have also collected a set of forms and these can be installed via an option on the Premvet Help menu.
When installed via the Premvet menu options the files will be copied into the correct place for you automatically.
Download Option
From the Main menu select the Help then Check for Updates.
On the 'Download Others' option you will find 'Laboratory Forms', this download contains (As of Jan 2008) the following:

| nwl.def | NationWide Laboratory Submission Form |
| vla2.pdf | VLA Avian Submission Form |

When selected the system will contact the Premvet Update Server, you will see 'dots' (.) going across the screen giving you a progress report. After 1 or 2 minutes you will be asked Do you want to Install this Now - Answer yes.
The forms are now available for use.
Manually Downloading the Forms
There may be times you need to install a form that is not part of the Premvet Download, it may be a new version of the form, the Premvet Web Site may be down. This is the basic procedure for manually downloading a file.
- Locate the form on the WebSite with your browser.
- Right Click the link and select 'Save Target as'
- The 'Save as' box will pop-up
- Navigate to Samba Server -> Premvet -> Text folder
(You may have a link for this, or may have to use Network Places) - Check the 'Filename', if it's a pdf file it should end .pdf and be no longer (in total) than 14 characters.
Avoid spaces and other punctuation characters. - Click 'Save'
- If this is a update to an existing form you may see 'blah blah already exists - replace it' - click OK.
The file is now available for use.
