Get a Stock Item to print a document?

PremVet can be used to automatically generate a client letter/document when you dispense a stock item. For example, you may wish to send an information document outlining your flea products and how to use them, every time you dispense Nuvan Top. Firstly you need to create your letter using one of the text editors in PremVet.

From the main menu:

and select the editor you use.

An example of a document file should already be on your system, but this is very practice specific and can be adapted to suit your practices policy.

Once you have composed your document save it either as a .def or a .sin file e.g. for this example we will call the document flea.def.

The next step is to add this information to the stock card of the product, (or products) you wish to generate this document.

From the main menu:

Once in the stock card, press the down arrow key to cycle to the next screen. You should then be presented with a screen that looks something like this:

Edit Main Batch Order
                         Return to the main stock card
Press E (Edit), then use the down arrow key until the cursor is at Append Letter. Press Y then the enter key, this will change the field to Yes. The cursor will then be flashing at Letter: type the name of your letter file, in this example flea.(See above).
