How Do I ... Report on a certain drug sold in a month?

If this is going to be a frequent report on a specific item then it is easier to switch on the History option for this item and you can quickly see the sales in the current year.

There is an option 'Search for Code' on the Reports menu. This scans the clinical records looking for a match and prints out the details.

When selected you will be presented with various options based on the clients MANGEMENT record e.g. what client type do you want to search, restrict it to a specific species etc. Answer as required.

One option to comment on '(16) Abort once found' is set to Yes then once a match has been found the search will stop. It is aimed at not so much the quantity and when it was sold/used but rather has the animal had this product at all within the date range.

Once you are happy with this select press return to continue. The next screen deals with what item/procedure/text you are looking for and when.

The simple way is to pick 'N' for notes and enter the text you are looking for e.g. Program - case does not matter. You can restrict the search to specific analysis codes, specific vets and if you want to ignore anything. See the manual page for details on that.

As an example lets look for all animals that have had Synlox between 1st Feb and 29th Feb.

• Bring up 'Clinical Selection Screen'
• Enter an '*' to get rid of any previous selection criteria
• N for Notes - Line 1 - enter SYNULOX
• D for Date - Start 01.02.2000, End 29.02.2000
