How Do I ... List some species or other over/under some specific age

Use the report generator:

Lets look at:

• Rabbits under 5 years old that are vaccinated.
  • Report Generator -> Create a new Report
  • Printout Selection: (Select from box the following)

    Client Number

    Species

    Age

    Vaccination

    Vacc Interval (yes you can change the printout option later)

  • Sort Fields:

    No

  • Search Selection: (Select from the box)

    Species

    Age

    Vaccination

    Vacc Int

  • Search Criteria

    Species	LAG
    Age	< 5y
    Vaccination	< 1y (older versions of s/w use > dd.mm.yy )
    Vacc Int	> 0

  • Save the report and run it.

  This will list all records where the Species starts with LAG, the animal is under five years of age, it has been vaccinated in the last year and the vaccination interval is greater than zero.

  If you are happy with the results change the printout criteria for whatever you want e.g. name and address for mail shots, inc. the telephone number if doing a phone around.

  As a side issue: the practice data I have here is all over the place and when I jumped in and ran the report nothing came out !!! If that happens take it a step at a time, search just for the species (in my case the species was RABBIT and not Lagomorph), then add in age and then vaccination. Jumping in will cause grief.

• All dogs over seven years of age
  (Which are not dead and not a bad debtor)
  • Report Generator -> Create a new Report
  • Printout Selection: (Select from box the following)

    Client Number

    Species

    Status (Change the printout selection later)

  • Sort Fields:

    No

  • Search Selection: (Select from the box the following)

    Species

    Age

    Status

  • Search Criteria

    Species	CANINE
    Age	> 7y
    Status	!$DD,^!$BD

  • Save the report - run it - check a couple at random.
  • Change the printout selection to suit the need.
