Altering the Questions Asked
The Consent and Recovery forms ask you a few questions - normally the default is fine for most practices - you can however alter what is asked or skip some of the questions.
You can change these defaults by using the reserved word .OQx text
where x is A-Z and 'text' is the question. If 'text' is blank the question
will be skipped.
This table shows the default settings:
| Consent | ||
|---|---|---|
| A | 25 Pre-med | &PREMED |
| B | 40 Operation/procedure | &OPP |
| C | 5 Phone-in time | &PHONE |
| D | 10 Operation date [DATE] | &ODATE |
| E | 3 Estimated number of days hospitalised? [1] [NUMBER] | &STAY |
| F | 8 Estimated price | &PRICE |
| Euth | ||
| A | 8 Estimated Price | &PRICE |
| Recovery | ||
| A | 60 Special Notes 1 | &SNOTE1 |
| B | 60 Special Notes 2 | &SNOTE2 |
| C | 60 Special Notes 3 | &SNOTE3 |
| Vaccination | ||
| A | 20 Enter Vaccination Description | &VT |
| B | 20 Enter Batch Number | &VB |
If you wanted to change the wording on your recovery form from 'Special Notes 1' to just Notes, 'Special Notes 2' to 'Number of days to see in' and suppress the third option you would add to the top of your recovery form:
.OQA Notes .OQB 3 Number of days to see in [Number] .OQC
You do not need to specify all the questions, if you want to just suppress the 'Estimated Price' question on a consent form all you would need to do is add:
.OQF
