Tidy up Mobile Number

The older version of software had one place for telephone numbers, people have entered multiple numbers in the one place. Now there is a separate field for Fax, mobile and other numbers. There is an option to identify mobile number and move them over.

This stand alone utility is run from the Vet> or when logged in as root.

vet -p phone

The options are:

-F x Update Management flag x (0 to 15), 15 is the default
-M xxx E-Mail summary to user xxx
-S xxx Default STD code
-o Additional options
  nomail Suppress mail summary
The program will look for mobile numbers (starting 07 and 11 characters long), if it finds one and there is nothing in the existing mobile number it will extract the number and add it.

If the primary number is six characters and there is default STD (-S xxx) specified then it will be added.

Records that have:

A list of these records will be sent to vet (or the user specified by -M xxxx option) via e-mail to allow you to make any manual adjustments. In addition a management flag default 15, will be set if there is text in the primary number - this can be reported on via DataMajor.

Example:

vet -p phone "-S 01234 -M tom"
This will run the report, use the STD code 01234 for 6 character numbers and mail the summary to user tom.

This option is designed to be run 'once in a while' to check all the numbers have been corrected. The numbers listed on the report will need corrected these are being displayed/mailed/printed for action.
