Recording How A Client Found You.
There is a field on the animal's additional screen 'Recommended By', this can by used to record how a client found out about the practice.
There are scripts available in DataMajor to report on it.
Step 1: Create the list of options
The list opf options are in the Lookup Tables.

System Management -> Setup -> Parameters -> Lookup Tables -> Recalls -> Others -> Referred By
Use the Edit/List options to add the required methods, e.g. Yellow Pages, Word of Mouth, Local Paper etc.
Step 2: To mark an animal as 'Recommended By'
- Access the animals card
- Select 'A'dditional
- Select 'E'dit and highlite the 'Recommended By' field
- Enter /xxx where xxx is part of the details e.g. /paper will bring up all listings containing the word 'Paper'. If you want to see the full list enter a full stop (.)
- Select the required option.
The DataMajor report to list the number by category is:

Menu -> DataMajor -> Stored Reports -> Client -> Breakdown by Referred
Additional reports can be obtained using the 'Management Reports', if you want to limit by any Recommended/Referral option add to any of the Specials (28, 29 or 30):
Referredby = "xxxx"where xxxx is the category your require.
