Text Message with Appointment Details

A client has just made an appointment I want to send the details to his phone.

Texting a message to the client's phone may help them remember the appointment, reducing your no-shows and make it easier for the client to change details.

You can send one off reminders at the time the client made the appointment in both versions of the diary.

Diary Plus

Make the appointment as normal, select the booking, Select Print and the prompt line will have an SMS option.

Sending the Message

It does not matter which diary you are using, in both cases, the screen changes and will show the clients Mobile number and E-Mail address, select 'SMS' for sending a text message.

Note: If the card does not have a mobile number, select Details and enter the number.

A text box will appear on the right of the screen, you can type what you want here and send it - however, your system manager will have setup some shortcuts which can speed things up, just press the function key F1. The shortcuts will be listed on the left:

Select the appropriate shortcut, in the example below we select the reminder line, the details are transfered over the text box, inserting the date and time as appropriate. You can press F1 again to insert more text or just press ESC to send.

The message will be sent to the client phone - it is a good idea to make sure your practice telephone number is included as this enables the client to call you at any time based on the message.

This is a quick, simple and effective method of giving the client the information they need.
