Electronically Collecting Batch Numbers

You can 'pickup' batch numbers from the majority of the wholesalers via the modem (or the internet), they will be added to the system automtically. If you are currently ordering electronically then there is very little to setup.

Centaur

You cannot specifically collect batch numbers, however, when you scan in the tote sheet any items with batch numbers will be added automatically. If you do not use a scanner the batch details are still listed on the Tote sheet and can be entered manually when processing the order.

NVS and Dunlops

You can collect batch numbers via the modem or internet.

Supplier Setup

The 1st step (which only needs done once) is to tell the system you will be using the option and you need to set account numbers up - take a second or two to check up your account details - refer to the links below for the wholesaler(s) your use:

Dunlops NVS

Collecting Batch Details

The options for batch pickup can be found at:

Stock Menu -> Ordering -> On-Line Services

Select the supplier concerned and select:

Dunlops Request Current Data
or Batch Pickup (Internet)
NVS Batch Information

In all cases the system will dial into the wholesaller and collect the information. It will be added to the 'Batch Screen' ('B' from the main stock card).

Notes on specific wholesalers

Dunlops

You can setup the system to call Dunlops every night and collect the information (see On-Line Manual for details). In this case you can use the 'Process data File' option to process the overnight data. This is Modem only - you cannot do un-attended batch pickup via the Internet currently.

NVS

You will be asked if this is a New call or a retry - normally it will be a new call, if you tried earlier in the day and failed to pickup the details then answer Retry. You then have to option to use the modem or Internet.

If you have multiple accounts you will be prompted for the account to use.
