Web/Internet Messages - What do they mean?

I have tried to pick up a price disk, list of batch numbers, place an order etc. via the Internet and get an error message.

Price Update Disks

You may see one of the following:

Connecting to www.dunlops.com|212.240.124.182|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 401 Authorization Required
Authorization failed.

Connecting to 62.173.118.73:21... connected.
Logging in as fred ...
Login incorrect.

Both of the above error messages indicate the user name and/or password you are using is wrong.

Contact the wholesaler and get them to confirm the details.

Please remember user names and password are case-sensitive - Practice, practice, PRACTICE, PrAcTiCe are all different - double check.

The NOAUTH reply from Dunlops server indicates you are not authorised, common reason will be you have the wrong user name or password. Contact Dunlops and get them to confirm your name/password.

Customer Number Not Recognised

Again, the customer number is not valid.

The Temporary failure in name resolution means your system could not work out how to find the other system. This could be a problem with DNS on your machine (can you access other sites? if yes then it's not your end), a problem with your ISP, a problem with the remote machine. The key phrase in the message is Temporary failure - wait a little while and re-try.

One or other of the O.S. utilities wget/ncftpget are not installed. Please contact support and they will organise a copy for you.
