Stock Setup for Centaur
For Electronic Ordering you need to set some options to identify any orders you send electronically.
From the main Stock menu select the following options:
Enter the supplier number you have allocated to Centaur.
The screen will display all the 'setup' options e.g.
Supplier name : Centaur Telephone No : Other Number : Modem number : Customer ref. : 123 Electronic ref : 4 Security ID : Batch Update : 000 Purchase No. : 0 Discount : 0.0
The only options you need to set on this screen for Centaur are the Customer reference (your PTC Code) and make sure the 'Electronic Ref' is set to 4.
Batch Number Pickup
This is not offered via modem from Centaur.
Batch numbers are supplied on the Tote sheet and are entered when the order is scanned.
Multiple Locations
If you have multiple deliver locations you can specify this with the PTC (Customer Reference).
The location is added to your PTC number and is allocated by Centaur.
e.g. If your existing code is 123 and you want location 4
you would enter 123 4 (note the space) or you could enter 123-4 both are the same.
With different branches, if you enter a ?, this will be replaced with the branch number e.g. 888 ? - will come out as 888 1 for branch 1, 888 2 for branch 2 etc.
If you are using a single server and have completely different PTC codes for each branch you should use a params.txt entry.
Stock_Order_Ref_X = ptc-code
Where X in the above related to the branch number, e.g.
your PTC code for
Branch 1 is 123, Branch 2 is 445 and branch 5 is 712; you would have the
following entries.
Stock_Order_Ref_1 = 123 Stock_Order_Ref_2 = 445 Stock_Order_Ref_5 = 712
Other Params.txt Entries
There are some other entries that can be changed. The default is shown in the table below and will only need changed if the wholesaler tells you to:
