Notes on Clinical Transactions

Clinical Transactions are used by SAVSNET, VENOM, VetEnvoy and protocols to group together work - this guide has some notes on how to edit/change and manipulate them.

How do I list all clinical lines associated with a transaction

Use Clinical Screen -> List -> Transactions

The system will display the normal select box and you can select as required.

Note if you do not have the 'Transaction' option you should contact support and they can enable the option for you (protocol pva013 missing)

How to I remove a transaction from a clinical line

If you need to move work from one record to another using the '&' option - the system will not let you is a transaction is involved.

If you know which line(s) are involved then select Clinical -> Edit - otherwise use Clinical -> List -> Transactions option to work out which line it is and then select Clinical -> Edit.

Use the edit screen and set the transaction number to zero.

Once the transaction is removed you will be able to move the clinical work to the other animal.

I forgot to tag a line associated with a transaction - how can I set it.

On the Edit screen, before selected the line, select Transaction - this will list all the existing transactionis on the that animal - select as required. This 'remembers' that transaction and will be used in the next step.

Now select the line(s) you want and pick the 'Transaction' option - the system will associate the line with the transaction you selected when edit was first selected. Repeat the edit option till all records have been marked.
