Excel Add-In
The DM Add-in allows you to create Pivot tables automatically in
Excel with your Premvet data.
Setup
- Make sure you have a ODBC User DSN setup called 'premvet'
The DSN should point to the server you are wanting to look at,
the user name and password should be filled in, it does NOT matter
what username/password you use.
- Make sure you can see the premvet share e.g. the Vet System Data
this is usually //servername/premvet
- Start up excel, Tools -> Add-Ins
Browse - Navigate to the premvet share
Locate and Double click DataMajor.xla
- Copy DataMajor.xla to your Addins folder - Yes.
- Click the DataMajor Addin, you should see 'DataMajor' appearing
on the top tool bar.
- The DataMajor Add-In is now installed and will be available every time
you start up excel. To remove it go back into Add-Ins an un-click
DataMajor.
Limitations in Version 1
- User DSN must be called premvet
- The database must be called premvet (default anyway).
