The bulk of these reports are available via these options:
A list of all clients meeting the selection criteria selected. e.g. all male, black, labradors on file.
The system will print using a preset format the name and address of selected clients on labels. This report could be used in preparation of a mail-shot etc.
An alphabetical list of all clients on the system. This option will not cater for more than 5000 clients.
This option will print details of farm clients only. The report includes Name, Farm name, reference field, floating field, discounts bands. The report will list the clients in numeric order e.g.
This option will printout a list of clients, with their name and address on one line. You will be given the option to 'reverse' the name; this will print out the client's name in the order it will be printed on the bill. This is useful for checking that new clients have been added correctly. You will also be asked if you would like the report in alphabetical order or in numeric order.
This option can 'merge' together client details from one of the above reports with a prepared letter for mailshot purposes. This option is explained in more detail later.
The Report generator is used to generate customised reports and lists.
When some of the above options are selected you will be presented with the selection screen. It is from this screen that you can restrict the search to a range of clients. The screen will be similar to:

To change an option you select the number e.g. 3 to change the client types for the listing. Once a selection has been made you can press RETURN to continue and the list will be generated. The system will remember the selection and the next time client lists are selected the same options will be set.
Some of the options on the screen may not relate to the option selected. For example, debt age (14) only applies to the outstanding account listing; herd type (11) only applies to a listing if farm clients have been selected; weight (18) only applies to small animals and so on.
To reset an option to its original setting, select the option and press RETURN without entering any data. To reset all options to the original enter an '*'.
NOTE: Do not enter the text 'ignore' or
'all'
and expect the system to ignore or include that field. All that will
do is make the system look for that wording in the field concerned,
which will probably mean the program won't find anyone to put into the
listing matching the selection criteria!
Once you have selected the criteria you require, press <CR> and the report will be generated.
Note: The client list options can enable a list of clients rather than animals to be made. When 'ignore related' is set to 'Yes' then all of the related animals will be checked until a match is made, and then the next client will be processed.
