Recalls are not limited to just vaccinations, they can be used for any form of reminder you want e.g. Attended farms, PDSA periods, puppy parties etc.
The management record will show the current status of the Vaccination recall and if any of the other 10 recalls are due/overdue. To see the full details or edit any of the recall dates you should use the option 'V'acc on the management prompt line.
If you want to see the Last Vaccination Date rather than the status then set the option
{Classic} General Apps -> Params -> Fields -> Option -> More -> 2 to Yes.
{New Style} System -> Setup -> Params -> Fields -> Option -> More -> 2 to Yes.
The recall screen will display something similar too:

Colour events 221 to 224 can be set to alter the colours of the headings and status (e.g. overdue etc.) to allow the status to be quickly checked.
The lower section of the screen will display:
You have the option to Edit/Delete any of the details. An invisible option 'X' (for xud) is present to force the recall dates to the remote sites if needed.
The Print option will printout a 'Summary Sheet' that shows all the recall details. This can be customised by two definition files :
mrvacc.top | Replaces the text at the top |
mrvacc.bot | Adds additional text to the bottom |
| The Reserved words from Table 1 and Table 10 can be used. | |
New Recall types are set via :
{Classic} Gen Apps -> Params -> Lookup -> Breeds -> Recalls
{New Style} System -> Setup -> Params -> Lookup -> Breeds -> Recalls
It is advisable to ensure that recall type 1 is set to Vaccination. The system will automatically set recall type 2 & 3 to that set on the previous version of PV5. Recall interval (optional), if you want to specify a default interval (in weeks), then add this to the end of the recall description prefix with a colon e.g.
Colour event 224 can be set to alter the colours of the headings on the vaccination screen.
Recalls can be updated via the following options:
