Field Details
Fields marked with a * cannot be edited, they are worked out
by the system.
- Milk and Meat Withhold
- For stock items that need to know about withhold periods. enter
the period (either in Days or Hours) as required. There is a field
'YYY' beside each - this relates to the animal type this refers to.
The 1st field is Small animal, then Farm, finally Equine - Set the
required field to 'Y'es if this applies. e.g. if the withhold
only applies to FC records then it should be set to 'NYN'.
The withhold periods are
available as reserved words, see labelling
for details.
- Warning:
- If there are any warnings that need to be included then they should
be specified here. The warnings are setup via an option in
the Parameters menu. As the warnings may not
always apply the field 'YYYY' beside them can be used to switch them
off and on based on record type. Small, Farm, Equine, Default - set to
'Y'es or 'N'o as required. e.g.
If the warning only applied to EQ records then it should be set to
'NNYN'.
- Dosage:
- There are two dosage options available.
- Enter a number/text relating to an entry in the Dose
Lookup Table. These are the basic
dose details, ones that will not change. These dose details
will appear on the label but they will not appear on the clinical record.
- Enter free hand text. This option is the default and can be
used for varying doses. These will appear on the record card.
You can switch between the two methods by entering a space.
The system will check the text (and any comments entered at the
time of selling) for any abbreviations. These are explained
in the labelling Section of the
manual.
- Automatically generate a label
- If you want a label generated automatically when this drug is
sold then set to 'Yes'.
You can over-ride this by entering the '*' meta-character on
the sub-unit description.
- Append label
- Sometimes there is not enough room to fit all the doses and
warnings onto a single label. If this is the case create a
label (via the label maker and
include the label number here.
This label will be generated
along with the first when the stock item is used.
Note: The label Size
MUST be the same as the Drug Label
you are using.
- Ask Batch Number
- Do you want to be asked for the batch number when the item is sold.
- Append letter & Letter File
- If you want to give the client a handout relating to the item then
set this to yes and include the handout name in the 'Letter File'
option. The handout will be checked for Reserved
Words. The 'letter file' should be created with one of the
text editors and should have the suffix
.sin.
You can also use this option to append Pharmacy Advice
to the bottom of Today bills and Receipts.
- Recall
- If this item requires a recall then enter the 1st part of the
recall description, and enter the number of weeks required
when prompted.
