AP Record Card

As with many functions in Premvet 5, the main method of managing your automatically priced procedures is through record cards. You can select AP cards by:

The screen will show:

Description : Consultation Keyword : X3 3

And you will also see the prompt line:
'N'ext 'B'ack 'E'dit 'K'ill 'F'inancial 'T'est 'G'oto 'Q'uit

The prompt line functions break down as follows:

Next
Displays the next record card on file. If you are searching for an item by name or keyword, Next will take you to the next item matching the criteria entered.
Back
Displays the previous record card.
Edit
Allows you to move around the screen with the Up and Down arrow keys and change any information you require.
Kill
Marks the record as 'DELETED'. Premvet 5 will replace any information on the record card with new details when you add a new AP procedure.
Goto
Allows you to skip to the specific record card you require by entering that record's code or description.
Financial
Screen will show the times used over the current year.
Test
Allows you to test the procedure under the 5 different pricing methods(explained later in the chapter). The selected method will be highlighted. Premvet 5 will allow you to enter a different multiplication factor if required; e.g. x 100, x 1.5 etc. In some cases it may be difficult to see how the total price of the AP procedure is determined because of the drug content. If an asterisk '*' is entered the screen will show the fees and drugs content of the selected pricing method.

Financial

Displays on the lower section of the screen a breakdown by month of how often this AP procedure has been added to a clinical record (numerically and financially). e.g.

After selecting the financial option you will have the following options: Edit
Used to make any corrections to the figures. Premvet 5 will prompt you for the month you wish to edit, and then the new figure. These figures can be printed out via the 'Reports' section.

Note: The average figures are determined by totalling the appropriate entries and then averaging them over your financial year. You will need to make sure the start of your financial year (e.g. 1 April) has been set up correctly. The start of your year is determined by the switch setting:

<G>eneral.<P>aram.<M>isc.5 (Nominal start month)

Graph
This displays a bar graph of either the financial or numeric figures. The graph can be sub-divided into current figures (this year) or historically (broken down over the last three years).
