Diary: Changing the Defaults

This option is on the Initialisation Menu and is used to alter which diary is selected by default for which user and surgery.

The screen will resemble:

 1. Default diary             for user 'PVS'  : 3 - Nurse
 2. Default diary             for surgery 1 : None
 3. Default waiting room list for user 'PVS'  : 2 - Consult
 4. Default waiting room list for surgery 1 : None
 5. Read as waiting room
 1 CONSULTATION 123456789 2 BRANCH                 3 CONSULT     1
 4 MINOR        123456789 5 NURSES       123456789 7 OPS



Option to change (1-5) <U>ser <S>urgery or <Q>uit [Q] .
 

The options relate to:

• Default Diary (1 and 2) - Whenever the diary is access the system will automatically bring up the diary specified here. The 'user' diary will take priority over the surgery one. e.g. if the user has no default diary the surgery default will be used but if the user does have a diary it will be selected.

• Default Waiting room (3 and 4) - Similar to the Default Diary above, whenever the Diary Waiting Room is selected these are the lists that will be used by default.

  Note: These are just the defaults you can switch between diaries as required from the prompt line.

• Read as waiting room (5) - This allows you to specify which diary should be looked at by the Waiting room programs (both the Classic and the diary based).

  The next few lines will list each diary on the system and which surgeries should look at which diary. e.g.

The prompt line allows you to select any of the options above for the current logged on user and current surgery. You can also set defaults for other users and other surgeries.
