Selecting and Cancelling Printers

There are three printers assigned to every terminal. These are

  • Default
  • Label
  • POS
  • You can change any of these printers by pressing the function key F9 or use CONTROL P. This allows you to:

When F9 is pressed a prompt will appear:
Default is 'Laser in main office' 'S'wap 'C'opies 'M'aint or 'Q'uit

    Swap
You will then be prompted for which printer to want to swap.

Once selected a list will appear showing all the names of printers which are currently configured for use with the system. Simply select the printer you want to print to. If you want to save the information instead of printing it, select 'File' from the list. Premvet 5 will then prompt you for a filename, and warn you if a similarly named file already exists (Enter an asterisk '*' when prompted to skip this warning).

    Copies
Controls the number of copies of a document to produce. This method is quicker than asking the vet system to generate multiple copies. When selected you are asked the number of copies to print.
    Maint.
Cancel the print job currently printing or ALL print jobs for a specific printer.
    Reload
Additionally, this routine has an invisible option 'R' that will re-read all the printer information. This is very handy if you have been editing any of the codes.
